Brenda Butterfield - RAL Potter

Brenda is our featured potter this week. Here is some of her recent work. Each of the following is made from Little Loafers. She used the following glazes and a slow firing schedule:

"Gloria base coat.
Licorice one dip.
Running Hot Chowder (from Spectrum) poured around the edge to create a run. (Chowder changes where placed in a kiln)."

Brenda also commented that the Hot Chowder had different effects depending on where the piece was placed in the kiln.

Nice work Brenda. Anyone for Hot Chowder?

  1. Wow! Beautiful glazing! Because Hot Chowder appears to run so effectively, I wonder if it should be confined to the inside of pots...
